I somehow got mysearch.com on my computer. I have windows 10 upgraded from windows 8.1.

I ran spyhunter4 and it seems to have got rid of most of it,  but I still have myseach.com in windows edge browser.

start page is still in there.  I have deleted cookies  deleted history still it is there.   in my settings it has start up with msn

and search engine  is bing. but when I start my browser  mysearch.com  starts up. I am hoping someone can help me.

Thank you

Elvira

See this thread ref Edge - particularly note the reply of  GreginMich:  http://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/protect/forum/protect\_other-protect\_scanning/can-someone-please-tell-me-what-this-means/dac3bc4a-3bd9-439c-af93-4298f24e9b93

We're seeing a number of complaints about adware issues associated with the Edge browser - you might want to use a different browser.

If your issue continues see this free removal guide from Malwaretips.com: https://malwaretips.com/blogs/remove-www-mysearch-com/

You may wish to review the following ref Spyhunter: http://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/search/search?SearchTerm=spyhunter&IsSuggestedTerm=true&CurrentScope.ForumName=Protect&CurrentScope.Filter=&ContentTypeScope=#/Protect///1

You are awesome. I did so many different things to get this off my PC. this is the only thing that worked. I dont see any trace of it anywhere now. I hope its really gone but if its there I cant find it. Thank you.

Unpin it from the task bar, then Pin it again. the adware probably modified the Microsoft Edge shortcut. If this does not work, just create a new shortcut pointing to %windir%\explorer.exe microsoft-edgeicon can be found here: %windir%\SystemApps\Microsoft.MicrosoftEdge_8wekyb3d8bbwe\MicrosoftEdge.exe

    Hi Elvira,

If you are willing to change the home page here are the steps which might help you to change that.

    • Open Windows edge.
    • Click on More actions (Three dots ...)
    • Click on settings.
    • Click on view advanced settings.
    • Turn on "Show the home button"
    • Enter the URL of the website which you want to set as your home page.
    • Close the Windows edge and open it again you will be able to get you desired webpage as your home page.

Hope this would help. If issue still persists post back with current status of your computer and result of proposed suggestion, we will be happy to assist you.

    Regards,

Thank you so much for the help.

I tried  a few things but  nothing  gets rid of this mysearch.

I think I will be using my other browser from now on.

    THanks
