CNext.exe is an AMD Radeon graphics Card host application for settings control I believe. See the web site for more details and support.

Do you hvae any software installed from 3Dconnexion or Dassault Systèmes (like Catia) for CAD, Drawing, etc.?

If so, your issue is most likely with their software and you should pursue your issue using their Support resources.

Usually an error 0xc00000005 has something to do with permissions and access denied kinds of things.

Since we don't know anything else about your system if it was ever working before, what led up to this problem, what you are trying to do when you get the message, etc. that is probably the best advice you can expect at the moment.

    Hi Horselover,

Thank you for posting in Microsoft community! You've reached the right forum for your question.

    1. What is the exact and complete error message you get?
    2. When exactly do you get the error message?
    3. Did you make nay changes to the computer prior to the issue?

Method 1I would suggest you to perform clean boot and remove the program that is causing the issue.

How to configure Windows XP to start in a "clean boot" state

Note: Make sure you reset the computer back to the normal mode once the troubleshooting is completed.

Method 2I would suggest you to run online virus scan using Microsoft safety scanner.

    Microsoft Safety Scanner

**Note:**When you perform online virus scan****you will lose some data that is affected by virus. Microsoft is not responsible for such data loss.

Hope this information is helpful and do let us know if you need further assistance. We will be glad to assist.
