    Hi,

    1. Have you made any recent changes to your computer prior to the issue?

    2. What all troubleshooting steps did you try?

Method 1: Format the Card from the Disk Management

    a.    Click Start and go to Control Panel.

    b.    Click Administrative Tools and then click Computer Management

    c.    When that window opens you can click on Disk Management and find the device in the drive viewer.

    d.    Then you can right click on the drive and select Format and see if using this utility from the Disk Management helps resolve your issue.

Method 2: Place the computer in clean boot and then try to format and see if that helps:

Try to perform clean boot and check if it helps, here is the link:

Note: After you have finished diagnosing, follow step 7 in the article to boot to normal startup.

    Hi :)

1.We have not made any changes to our laptop.

    1. I tired this:

If disk management is unable to format your Micro SD try to do it in the command window. To do so

    • Click on the windows start orb and type in the search box cmd
    • It will open a black window. In there type diskpart
    • Then type list disk
    • After that you see a list of disk connected to your machine. Select your micro SD card. For e.g is your hard disk is in no. 1 and microSD card in no 2 then typeselect disk 2
    • After that you will see written disk 2 is now selected
    • Then type clean
    • create partition primary
    • format fs=fat 32 quick
    • exit

See if your microSD has been formatted.

If no then try to remove the SD card from your mobile phone (If you are doing so) and try to plug it in a micro SD adaptor and try to format it from there. Perhaps it is your phone that is preventing the operation.

Else if you are already using a micro SD adaptor to do so, then verify if it is not locked (little with key found on the side of the adaptor) or try to try it with a new adaptor.

Hope this will resolve your problem,

    Regards,

    Andrew.

and what you suggested with no avail.  do you have any other suggestions?  We've tried two different card by two different brands... kingston & sd memory cards.  They work on our mac and in the camera.
