Driver for Epson 2450 scanner

I have an Epson Perfection 2450 photo scanner but it doesn't work on my PC with Windows 7 as it says no driver is available (the scanner is about 10 years old I think). I've searched for drivers online that might work but have had no success - does anyone have any suggestions or should I give up at this point? I asked Epson and they weren't able to help - they said to ask Microsoft, but I thought this forum might be a better place to start.

Hi

Please go to:

http://www.epson.com/cgi-bin/Store/support/supDetail.jsp?oid=14558&BV_UseBVCookie=yes&infoType=Downloads&platform=OSF_W_7-32

and select your Windows version. There are Windows 7 32-Bit drivers there. However, if you have Windows 7 64-Bit then there are no Epson drivers, but they do suggest some 3rd party alternatives.

Note: 32-Bit drivers will not work on Windows 7 64-Bit (and vice versa).

You can use the 64 bit Windows 7 driver for the Epson 4990 scanner which is similar.

    Good luck!
