    Hi Sharief,

I am facing the same issue now. Earlier 6 months ago, the ibal Clickscan A404 used to run. Now it is saying "Click Scan has stopped working" even after I tried with compatibility mode set to Windows-8. I am using windows-8.1.

I installed latest driver downloaded from iball website for A404.

I started up the system in clean boot mode with all the instructions you suggested. I still see same error message.

I have now restarted my system in normal mode. I ran trouble shoot compatibility.

    Please help :(

    Thanks,

    Naveen Kumar K

    Hi Vijay,

We do not have any information about the compatibility of the device in Windows 8 compatibility center. To verify, click here.

This issue could be due to incompatibility. I would suggest you to refer to the link to troubleshoot the compatibility issues and see if it fixes the issue.

Make older programs compatible with this version of Windows

Keep me posted with the results. I will be glad to assist you.

    Hi Vijay,

    Thank you for your response.

As the scanner is working fine on one computer, then the issue could be due to some software conflicts.

You may place the computer in a clean boot state and check if there are any software conflicts.

Note: To reset the computer to normal mode after troubleshooting, please refer to “How to reset the computer to start normally after clean boot troubleshooting” from the above article.

    Hope it helps.
