Display Driver Stopped responding and has recovered

My computer came with Windows 10 and it worked fine until I did update or may have been an upgrade for windows 10.  The message says:  Display Driver Stop Responding and has Recovered.  Display Driver Intel HD Graphic Driver for windows 8(R) stopped responding and has successfully recovered.

It only freeze when I play Daily Challenges Pyramid about half way through.  It sometimes will do it when I'm doing the puzzles.   Have not notice it anywhere else.  Should I have a windows 8 driver on my windows 10 when I have not had a windows 8 on this new computer? and where do I go to get it fixed, Window 10 or Intel HD Graphic?

    Hello,

    Thank you for your reply,

I would suggest you to Uninstall and Reinstall the Display Card Drivers.

Uninstall and Reinstall the Display Card Drivers.

Step 1: Uninstall the Display Adapter Drivers

    a. Press “Windows Logo” + “X” keys on the keyboard.

    b. Click on “Device Manager” from that list.

    c. Search for the Display Adapter from the device list, right click on it and then select “Uninstall”. On the un-installation window, if you have an option: “Delete the driver software for this device” you may select that and then remove the corrupted drivers from the computer.

    d. Follow the on-screen instructions to complete it and then restart the computer if prompted.

After the restart, please go ahead with the next steps to install the latest drivers and check if that resolves the issue.

Update Driver Software from the Manufacturer’s website:

Step 2: Go to the Computer or system manufacturer’s website and search for the latest Windows 10 display drivers available for your system then install it by following the instructions given in the website.

Hope this information is helpful. Do let us know if you need any further assistance, we'll be glad to assist you.

    Ashish Sondhi,

Thank you so much for responding and giving me instruction to help correct the problem I'm having with windows 10:

"Display Driver Stop Responding and has Recovered.  Display Driver Intel HD Graphic Driver for windows 8(R) stopped responding and has successfully recovered."

Your last instructions I would like to attempt but I do not think I am that knowledgeable to start deleting drivers with out some assistance.  When I, b. Click on “Device Manager” from that list and highlight the Display Adapter and right click there is no option to uninstall unless I expand and click the only listing under it and that is "Intel(R) HD Graphics 4600".  This one does give me an option to uninstall.

What I do not understand about your suggestions is the next step:

"On the un-installation window, if you have an option: “Delete the driver software for this device” you may select that and then remove the corrupted drivers from thecomputer."

By uninstalling the Intel(R) does that uninstall other drivers that I do not see on this list?

I'm sorry but I'm lost at this point and I do not want to mess up what is working.  Everything was fine with my system until the request to upgrade windows 10 which I thought it was update but I'm not sure now.  Something about upgrade 1511 is all I remember at this point.  Best Regards, Ann

Hi Ashish Sondhi,  Sorry but that did not work.  You did notice this was an Intel HD Graphic Driver for Window 8(R) stopped responding and has successfully recovered.  I found where many others had the same problem only they were using Windows 8 at the time.  I have not had Windows 8 on this computer that I know of.  It is only couple months old and it came with Window 10.  Is there anything else you can help me find the solution to this. All my update are up to date.  Could it I have a bad up date?

    Ann
