saitek x52 not detected by driver install program
I have a Saitek x52 flight control system that will not install the Saitek drivers , the micro soft drivers install instead. Without the Saitek driver the program software for the flight control system will not find the x52. I have tested the x52 on a window 7 machine and the driver install program runs and the drivers are installed correctly. In turn the program software work then on the win 7 machine. When the same driver install software is ran on the win 8 machine it stalls out and fails to complete the install. I have tried installing it as the admin, downloading the latest drivers and programing software from Saitek, ask the Saitek customer support for help, all of these have had not positive results. It appears the driver install program fails to find the x52. The x52 appears in the device manager thou. Other than downgrading the operating system to win7 I don't know what to do.
Any help would be appreciated.

2016-01-03T01:33:01+00:00 I have the same problem, I started with windows 10, and for the 1st week of having the x52 pro it work as it should, then it suddenly stopped working and the computer no longer recognizes the hardware or software
I finally found a Solution, when I try to load the driver and it gets to the point that it asked me to plug in the device I went to the device manager and when it asked me to install the driver I clicked "browse my computer" then"let me pick from a list" from there it gave me 3 choices, 2 of them were X52 Controllers, the 3rd was a generic USB device, I selected the Generic Device and then the Saitek Driver installer was able to finish its installation

2013-09-29T20:49:27+00:00 Hello James
I had the SAME problem and looks like you are selecting the wrong driver (I was selecting the X52 PRO driver and for my joystick was wrong because I have the X52 (without pro)
So just download the correct one
Go to Drivers official web site
http://www.saitek.com/uk/down/drivers.php
And in the right box "Choose your product type" select the Joysticks and pick the X52 (without Pro) and thats it!
Hope this helps!

Almost, I had to first point it to the drivers extraction folder, C:\Windows\Temp\MadCatz in my case, then after hitting the fail screen HIT BACK, then choose, otherwise the choose screen shows ALL possible devices, not just the 3.
Once I selected USB Input Device the installer would allow clicking next, and I have a nice blue glow again...finally ^..^
Thx
