Original Title: Question about the bluetooth drivers

Hi there,

I am having trouble using my Sony bluetooth headset on my Macbook bootcamp Win 7.

My headset model is MDR-10RBT. My Win 7 detected the headset at the bluetooth device section but I cannot use it since the driver is missing. ( There is an exclamation mark at the lower left of the icon ) The headset works fine when I boot the o/s as OSX tho. I already installed everything at the bootcamp driver disk, nothing helps.

I went here and it looks like there are no driver. I sent them an email and the support confirms there are no driver provides by them.

Please be noted that the drivers should be pre installed in your Microsoft windows 7 OS. If your machine did not come with the drivers we suggest you to contact Microsoft as they are unavailable  to download from Sony.

How can I download the drivers from Windows? I don't even know how to start.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I had the same problem, but I solved the problem through HP, since I have their business laptop.

Their bluetooth peripheral driver were not enabled and out of date.

As expected, it was HP. Found support drivers for my particular model and windows version on HP's website, and found the latest bluetooth peripheral driver. I got the version dated May 2015, and my headphones worked nice and great after that.

In your case, you need to knock Apple's door my friend.

Its hardware problem for sure. Please contact the so called exceptional customer service of Apple.

After all the Macs never have any problems,  you paid that premium price for it. :-p

Thank you Architspatel9! I tried to google around after I saw your message.

Apple and Sony keep throwing ball to each other. 1 guy keeps telling me there is no driver for the headset while another one keeps telling me to contact the manufacturer to get the updated driver.

Finally the problem is fixed =.= In order to make it works, it is like a pipe dream.

At the end of the day, Acer Bluetooth driver saved my day lol.

    Thanks again :)

To understand the issue better, let me know what is the make and model of the computer?

This issue could have occurred due to these reasons:

    1. Incorrect audio settings.
    2. Corrupt audio driver.

    Try the steps listed here:

    Method 1:

I would suggest you to run the troubleshooter and check if it helps.

    Open the Playing Audio troubleshooter

    http://windows.microsoft.com/en-us/windows7/Open-the-Playing-Audio-troubleshooter

    Method 2:

If the issue persists, I suggest you to uninstall and re-install audio drivers from the manufacturer website. Check if it helps.

    1. Click on Start and type device manager in Start Search.
    2. Open device manager.
    3. Expand ‘Sound Video and Game Controllers”.
    4. Right-click on ‘High Definition Audio Deviceand select ‘uninstall’.
    5. Follow the prompt and restart the computer.

Now re-install latest audio driver from the manufacturer website.

MacBook Pro Laptop Win 7 64 Bit. I am not sure about the sound hardware inside.

Method 1 - It only detects the cable input, not the bluetooth.

    Method 2 - Doesn't help either.

Any ideas? I guess it is probably the bluetooth connection issue?

I found a post back in 2014 and it is very similar to my situation but he doesn't mention how does he fix it at the end. I just keep getting the error message about the windows bluetooth driver is missing tho.
