apk apps on lumia 640

I don't actually think this is possible, not easily anyways. Windows phone was built to only run with windows phone apps. Android is a completely different OS and the apps for that OS was made for that specific OS.

You could try finding game APK's on the internet, but they usually don't work and they arnt at all safe. Luckily, windows phone is a closed system and downloads cannot interfere with the windows OS.

I understand how annoying it is to have such a limit on the apps you can have, but that is the only major flaw I find on windows phones/laptops. Hopefully Microsoft will begin improving the amount of apps in the near future!

probably never. the original plan was not to allow you to install android apps, but to allow developers to convert android apps to the windows store. the day that they allow android apps to just run on windows phones is the day windows phones are dead - why develop for windows if all you need is to develop for android?
