I cannot get ION Scanner driver (slides 2 pc 2010) installed on Windows 7 x64 computer.

I downloaded this driver from the site of the supplier  : ionaudio.com

The supplier writes :

The SLIDES 2 PC MKII is supported by Windows 7.

I downloaded this driver from the site of the supplier  : ionaudio.com

SLIDES 2 PC mkII

After installation Windows reports:    There is no driver installed

Search for online update by Windows failed.

But the state report writes:  No driver installed, De stuurprogramma's voor dit apparaat zijn niet geïnstalleerd. (Code 28).

Are there users with the same experience?   may be an solution?)

Regards

    Hello,

Thank you for posting on Microsoft Forum.

As per your description I understand that you are facing issues with your windows 7 computer. You are trying to install a scanner on it, however it is not getting installed.

I am not sure how you the scanner is connected to the computer. If it is a USB connection, try and plug the connection to another USB slot.

Also please make sure that the Antivirus protection is turned off*. (****Important Note:***Antivirus software can help protect your computer against viruses and other security threats. In most cases, you shouldn't disable your antivirus software. If you have to temporarily disable it to install other software, you should re-enable it as soon as you're done. If you're connected to the Internet or a network while your antivirus software is disabled, your computer is vulnerable to attacks.)

If the issue is still not resolved, I would suggest you to perform a clean boot. A clean boot is performed to start Windows by using a minimal set of drivers and startup programs. This helps eliminate software conflicts that occur when you install a program or an update or when you run a program in Windows. To know more, follow the article below:

    http://support.microsoft.com/kb/929135

Note: After troubleshooting, refer to this section ‘How to reset the computer to start normally after clean boot troubleshooting’.

Please try to install all pending updates to keep- the pc up to date. Many such errors can be resolved by making sure that Windows is up to date.

Hope this information is helpful. Please do let us know if you need further assistance with Windows, we’ll be glad to assist you.

    Thanks and Regards

    Thank you for your advise.

At my desktop computer (32bits version) I succeeded to install the driver after stopping the anti-virus program.  At my laptop (64 bits system) the driver problem continues also in case of  installing the driver  during a stopped anti-virus program.

I have to try the clean boot option,  but at the moment I have not enough time for doing that.

Anyway there is nu urgency, now the scanner is operating with the desktop.

Again many thanks for your help.
