    Why do you want to disable Windows Defender?

    Do you have another Anti-Virus program installed?

    @mikfernando -

    Like Jsssssssss' reply, Windows Defender will only disable itself if another Malware protection application is installed.  Else, Windows Defender will be enabled and actively protecting you system.

    I'm interested in understanding why you wish to disable Windows Defender
