Turn off subtitles in Windows 10 Movies & TV app

Hi, I just purchased and downloaded a movie via the Movies & TV app in Windows 10. However, I live in the Netherlands and the app INSISTS on displaying Dutch subtitles (which I don't want as I'm quite fluent in English and they distract me).

I've searched and searched, but I've only found solutiosn to people who want to turn on or add subtitles to a video, not turn them off.

Again, this is for the Movie & TV app in Windows 10, which - as far as I know - is the only app I can use to play movies that I've purchased in the Store.

So... How do I do this...? There is no 'CC' shown when in play the movie...

Thanks!

Arnout

CC is for captions which are required by law in the US (they're always in English at a minimum) and can be turned on and off by the user.

Subtitles are different and are typically burnt into the content.

It's unfortunate that the PC store doesn't display subtitle information, and I'll file a bug with that team.

As a workaround, you can use the website (https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/store/entertainment) to buy content if you desire, I've confirmed that it does display audio and subtitle information.

I suspect you'll run into issues buying US content due to a mismatch of physical location, account region and billing information.

Had Star Wars The Force Awakens refunded, as the subtitles were indeed burned-in :S

In a not so subtile font, and the placement jumped from bottom to top, atleast in the first 30 seconds or so i could bring myself to look at it.

In the dutch store there is no info posted about the subtitles, actually not much info is given at all

In the US store it has a CC logo...but no info on which ones are enclosed

Wonder if i can even buy the US version?

They're likely "burned-in" to the movie and cannot be turned off.  In order to confirm that this is the case, I would need to know the name of the movie.
