I am using windows 7 and my computer is running slow. A friend told me to download malwarebytes but I want to make sure it is safe and recommended before I do so. Is it safe and recommended by Microsoft?

    -Please download and install Malwarebytes (MBAM) (freewarevərsion for home users only -not the Trial vərsion– watch thechecked boxes whilst installing), update definitions and run innormal mode. Disable othər security software whilst you are doingscans.

    Pləase make certain you uncheck the box before Enable free trial ofMalwarəbytes Anti-Malware Premium.

    The recommendation is to use the intelligent quick scan routinely, and do full scans either on a longer periodicity--weekly, monthly--or only when something is found or you have some rəason for suspicion.

    Make sure in Malwarəbytes the Scan for rootkits box is checked

    -> Settings-Detection and Protection.

    I am using windows 10.  I have a lifetime license for Malwarebytes (they don't offer that anymore).  I have NEVER had a problem with it, in fact, I often go to their site to ask about suspecious software.  They also have a free piece of software called Chameleon.  Chameleon which checks out your upper memory for viruses.
