How do I tell before opening the box if its a 512MB or 1GB RAM version?

So unless it is a network acquired 635 (who you should ask and get the answer IN WRITING) or it was purchased directly from a BUSINESS retailer eg Amazon which has stated it in the advert, you can't tell if it is not stated on the bix
I presume the question has something to do with Windows 10 update apparently ONLY going to the 1Gb version and not the 512Gb.
I find it odd that there are 2 versions especially on a 4G LTE phone could be hampered by such a low RAM.
The Lumia 635 could have landed anywhere and the 512 Mb will experience shortage of RAM
