reinstalling HP support Assistant On Windows 8.1
I uninstalled my HP support Assistant because it quit working. I went to the HP website for the support assistant and downloaded and installed SP 7456.EXE. The download indicated a successful installation. When I click on the
shortcut icon on my desktop it does not open. When looking at the compatibility troubleshooter, it does not list 8.1
to run in the compatibility mode. Unfortunately, I did not realize that I could not reinstall the latest hp support assistant to Windows 8.1. Is there someway I can make the installation work?
Thank you.

2016-04-02T16:39:05+00:00 I finally got the HP Support Assistant reinstalled. It does not work though. I am not sure if it is because I have Windows 8.1. I click on the icons and it does not open. I guess I will not be able to use it for updates and to diagnose my computer for problems.
If anyone has something else I can do other than do nothing, I would appreciate it. Thanks you

2016-03-21T06:00:12+00:00 Hi,
You will have to ask HP these questions about their Support Assistant as it is their software, not Microsoft's.
Or you can also ask in the HP Support Forums.
