Jurassic Park Operation Genesis (2003) No longer works

I had this game installed and it worked like normal on windows 7 even in compatability modes. After upgrading I am no longer able to launch the game. It seemed to initialize the start up and then never lauched. I then uninstalled it and now I get error 1628 saying there was an error and it was unable to finish installing when I try to re-install it and it no longer lauches the installer when I insert the disc it says there is an error so I have to lauch the installation manually from the disc itself. I would hope that someone has a remedy for this and other old games that have problems with windows 10.

    The error about Compatibility and 'run as admin' is bogus.

    This is one of hundreds of games that are being blocked by MS's malware - DRM Blocking.

    There are two forms of copy protection that are affected, SecuROM (used by this game) and SafeDisk.

    Any game with a driver file titled secdrv.sys on the disk is being targeted.

    This seems to be an issue with compatibility on Windows 10.

    I suggest you to install the game in compatibility mode on Windows 10 and check.

    Follow the steps to install in Compatibility mode.

    • Right click on the game installation file and select Properties then click the Compatibility tab.
    • Place a check in the Run this program in compatibility mode for: box.
    • Tap the drop down box and select a previous operating system, then click OK.
    • Try installing the game and check.

    Thank you, that fixed the problem and I could re-install. However, I have tried to run both of the different applicatons to launch the game in compatability mode for XP and windows 7. It continues to initialize but doesn't lauch.

    HI I Jurassic park and i fallowed what u said but still will not work on my window 10 i then tried it on a other pc with windows 10 pro up grade from windows 8 and it plays  but i need it on the other pc with 10 any help would be great thanks.
