Logitech Z313 speakers stopped working after upgrading to Windows 7

I delayed upgrading to Windows 7 until after I graduated from college just for this reason. I just installed Windows 7 and my Logitech Z313 speakers that were working perfectly fine in Windows XP are not being recognized as hardware.

There is no yellow ! in device drivers, I have the latest-greatest "High Def Audio" device driver installed. Windows trouble shooting does not detect a problem with anything. My speakers are working fine. I can hear the feedback and pop when I unplug them or shut down the PC. Logitech does not have drivers for these speakers since they should be auto detected by the system when they're plugged in. I've tried unplugging/replugging in many different ways.

Can anyone help?

Thank you.

    Hi there,

I had quite the same problem and found the solution : you have to uninstall your device, then go to Control Panel => Device Manager => seek for the "!!" symbol on your list, then right click, "properties", and "details", you will see a short list with weird names (ex : HDAUDIO\FUNC_01&VEN_10EC&DEV_0662&SUBSYS_18497662)

Copy it, and go to <Removed> Paste it in the search bar, and select your "Windows" (for me it was Win 10 64bits), download the pilot and install it. Done ! :-)

Problem solved ^^ not thanks to Microsoft or Logitech, unable to understand that problem, caused by the last update of Windows10... (-_-(

    Hi Karen,

This issue might occur if the volume level (under Volume mixer) for the applications is decreased. Perhaps, the system sound is up to the level.

Do you face the issue while using any applications such as a music player or while playing online content on Internet Explorer?

I would suggest you to open the application such as Internet Explorer and then adjust the volume level under volume mixer. Follow the steps:

    • Open the application on the desktop.
    • Right Click on the volume icon at the taskbar at the bottom left corner and select Open Volume Mixer.
    • Apart from the System sound, check if the level for the applications sound is up to the mark. If not, adjust the volume level and check if it helps.

    For reference:

Follow the steps from the link to troubleshoot sound issues:

    http://windows.microsoft.com/en-ca/windows/no-sound-help#no-sound=windows-7&v1h=win8tab1&v2h=win7tab1&v3h=winvistatab1&v4h=winxptab1

Please let us know the status of this issue.
