I installed battery bar and it shows that my battery wear is at 42.2%, now I get 2 and 1/2 hours out of the battery what can I do to solve it?

I bought a new tablet last month and then installed battery bar and it shows that my battery wear is at 42.2%, I don't understand because the the tablet is fairly new and now I get 2 and 1/2 hours out of the battery what can I do to solve it? Please help

    Welcome to Microsoft Community.

    I understand tour concern. I will do my best to fix the issue.

    To assist you better I would like to know, where did you install the battery bar from Windows store or any other online website?

    Let’s try simple troubleshooting steps and check if this helps in resolving the issue. Follow the below methods.

    Method 1.

    I suggest you to uninstall the battery bar and check if that helps**.**

    Method 2.

    If the issue still persist, you may run the Power troubleshooter****in Windows 10 and check if it helps. It will find and fix problems with your computers power settings. Follow the below steps to run Power troubleshooter.

    1)      Press Windows + X keys on the keyboard and select Control Panel

    2)      Type Troubleshooting in the search bar on the Control Panel.

    3)      Click on View all on the left navigation pane.

    4)      Click on Power.

    5)      Click on Advanced on the Power dialog box and click on Run as administrator (Enter the credentials if required).

    6)      Click on Next and follow onscreen instruction complete the Power troubleshooter.

    Method 3.

    If the above method did not help to fix the issue. I suggest you to update the battery diver and check if this helps.

    1. Press Windows key + x and select Device manager.
    2. Click on Batteries to expand, right click on the device and click on update.

    Hey Billion.

    I have installed battery bar on my laptop and turns out that the problem lies with the app because it reads that I have 2hrs 45min remaining while the laptop reads that I have more than 4hrs remaining. I installed it on my windows 8 tablet because my tablet doesn't calculate remaining time. Thanks a lot for helping me and sorry for wasting your time😞.

    Hey Billion Debbarma.

    I have installed the app(battery bar) on my laptop and turns out that the problems lies with the app because it reads that I 2hrs 43 min while the laptop reads that I have more than 4hrs time remaining. The reason i installed it on my windows 8 tablet is that it doesn't show remaining time. Thanks a lot for helping and sorry for wasting your time😞.

    Thanks for the help Billion Debbarma.

    I installed battery bar from the internet. Non of method seems to help because when I update the driver it says "windows has determined the driver software for your device is up to date". Anything else that I can try?

    Thank you for keeping us updated. Since, you are using third party app this issue might occur. If you want to install  battery app you can go to Windows store and install one.
