    Had same problem. Has nothing to do with screen resolution. I had accidentally pressed the 1st button above the power button on my Dell U2311H Monitor while tilting it.  Holding this button for >10 seconds toggles if from "Lock" to "Unlock".   Simply hold button to either lock/unlock.
