accidentally clicked "forget network" on one of my 2 wifi networks.  Need to recover the one I forgot and have tried everything, no luck.

I unintentionally deleted a wifi network on my laptop.  Now is does not appear in the list of available wifi networks.  I know I am in range as I'm connected to that network on my phone.  I know my wifi is working on my laptop as I can connect to all the other wifi networks that appear.

I know they SHOULD resync, but this one does not.

Please don't suggest a restore or recover as the only option.

    thanks,

    Mike

Do you see the network listed under the following registry key?

    HKEY_CURRENT_USER\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\SettingSync\Wireless\DeletedProfiles

Networks that appear in this list will no longer be synced to the machine.

There is not a way to recover the forgotten network.

If you reconnect to the network and click "Automatically Connect" the profile will be stored.

    Hi Matt,

Thank you for your interest in Windows 10!

I understand you concern. If the issue has occurred recently, then in that case, I would suggest you to preform a system restore to a recent point in time prior to the instant the issue created in order to retain the previous settings for your system. To do so, refer to the following steps:

    a) Press Windows key + R, type rstrui.exe and click OK.

    b) Follow the onscreen instructions and check for the issue.

Disclaimer: When you use System Restore to restore the computer to a previous state, programs and updates that you installed after that date are removed.

Hope this information is helpful. Do let us know if you need any further assistance, we'll be glad to assist you.

So how do you re sync them? Will this restore the network to the list of available networks?  Why would they use such a stupid choice of wording?  Mine said Share or

forget- I thought forget meant to forget to share & was the way to get back to where I was.
