    Is this your optical drive -->

    http://www.liteonodd.com/en/dvd-internal/item/dvdinternal/ihas124.html#

    What is the error message you get?

    Perhaps it's the blank disks you're using.  What sort of blank media are you using?  I haven't used it, but perhaps the "Smart Burn Media Check" utility will give you a clue --> http://www.liteonodd.com/en/service-support/download/cat_view/44-/54-

    The download is a *.rar file, so if you don't already have a utility that can extract the files, download WinZip from the LiteOn page or get 7-zip

    You probably don't need a driver (which is built into Windows).

    Open Device Manager (click Start Orb, type Device Manager, press Enter) and confirm that you're seeing an error for your CD/DVD drive (probably error 19 or 39).

    Then see this --> https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/kb/314060

    I tried burning something but I got I/O issue over and over again, and then it would just crash, why is that? And how do I fix it?
