How do I remove search protect which seems to have taken over my search bar windows key? I have done a full McAfee scan but the search protect is still showing in my icons. Went into program files and tried to uninstall with no luck.

    Hi there,

Well, there is a good guide by the howtogeek at http://www.howtogeek.com/198386/how-to-remove-trovi-conduit-search-protect-browser-hijack-malware/

It will help you remove search protect, and other possible spyware.

You may want to look at running Malwarebytes: https://www.malwarebytes.org/ with McAfee. They will not interfere, Malwarebytes is not an antivirus, its anti-malware (formerly known as spyware) which is different then viruses.

Good luck and let us know how it goes,

    -Glen
