Nokia Lumia 625 won't allow me to make calls on facebook messenger, does anyone know if there is a way to enable this or an application to rectify the problem?

He was absolutely correct. If enough people request that function from FB there might be a chance they will actually do something about it, as it is their app, developed by them.

Because Facebook doesn't allow it. You've to ask Facebook that question.
You do not seem to understand.
Facebook's version of the messenger app for Windows Phone/Mobile does not support calls. If Facebook upgrade the app, everyone will be able to make calls - this is not a matter of Facebook allowing calls on an account-by-account basis.
Ok thank you.. seems strange when other devices can all make calls though?! Do you know if anyone has been able to make calls once contacting facebook directly? :/
