Driver for Canon Pixma IP4600 Printer

I have had to reinstall Windows on my PC due to getting a bad virus.  My Canon Pixma IP4600 printer worked before the re-install but now windows can't find a driver.  I have spoken to Canon and they have told me that they no longer offer support but that Windows should be continuing to support and the drivers should come from there.  I have searched for a driver through the control panel but it says that a driver is not available.  This printer is not that old, so I can't believe that no driver is available at all.  Can you help please?

I am sorry, but as I explained Microsoft does not write the Drivers for Canon Products.

Microsoft writes and supplies Drivers for their own Products.

Any Drivers that Microsoft may supply in their Operating System for Canon Products has been supplied by Canon.

I suggest that you contact Canon again and get them to sort this out, or try the Vista Drivers first.

    Regards.

    Hi

I was on the verge of getting rid of my beloved IP4600 after buying a new win 10 PC but I loaded the win 7 driver for this printer and all works great. I think it is a great shame that Canon could not be bothered to update the driver for a not so old printer. It may put me off buying another Canon printer or other Canon product.
