Sherlock Holmes - Crimes and Punishments lunching giving an error (0xc000007b) in Windows 10

Hello,

Hope you guys are doing well!

Well, I installed the game Sherlock Holmes - Crimes and Punishments, and when I am trying to lunch it, it is giving the error (0xc000007b). I went through all information in the web as well as from Microsoft community. I did everything people told to do. I :

  • cleaned the boost
  • reinstalled the Microsoft Visual redistributable C++ up to new version
  • reinstalled the Microsoft .net framework up to new version
  • reinstalled the Directx up to new version 
  • reinstalled the game itself several times
  • I run the game as Administrator
  • I changed a Compatibility to XP

But still it is not working and I am having the error (0xc000007b).

Please, help me, How can I fix it?

    Thank you for posting back.

    I suggest you try below method and check if it helps.

    I recommend you to update the display drivers on your computer and check if it helps. Refer the below steps to update the driver.

    1. Press Windows +X keys on the keyboard.

    2. Select Device Manager.

    3. Find and Display adapter and expand it.

    4. Right click the Display adapter drivers, and click Update driver software.

    Hi Ashwin,

    Thank you for your reply.

    I am having the same errors with the games such as F1 2013, Max Payne 3, NBA 2013,  

    I've already did the clean boot. It was the first thing that I did. But still it is not working.

    I mentioned that I am having this kind of errors with the games lunched in 2012 and 2013.

    So, Please help me what can I do more?

    Hi Dawe,

    I appreciate the troubleshooting methods that you have tried to resolve the issue.

    Just to clarify, is this issue is specific to this game or for all the games?

    I suggest you to place the system in the clean boot and check if the issue persist.
