Alexa for windows phone

I am having trouble downloading all apps to my windows phone.  Do I need a special setting? Recently tried to connect my phone with alexa for my new amazon tap and the app will not download.  I have tried with other apps as well and always have trouble.  Thanks!

    Amazon does not develop apps for Windows Phone.

    Open internet explorer, go to your tools (...) at the bottom right of your screen, choose settings.  Under website preferences switch from mobile to desktop version.
