I must ask you why in the world you would want to do this??

Fact is that Windows 7 is really SP3 of Vista.  The differences are few.  Mainly 7 is a bit faster and has less annoying prompts.

All in all, Win7 is clearly the superior product.  I have not yet seen anything that did not work as well or better in 7 that worked in Vista.

    FYI for clarification purposes:

The information that you supplied does not apply here.

"Hi, I have a computer running Windows 7, and that is the original operating system. But I want to ru Vista on it. I don't have a CD or anything. Is there any way I can downgrade?"

The OP in this thread has Window 7 as the original operating system and they now want to install Vista, which they do not have.

The information you pointed them to applies IF you originally had Vista installed > upgraded to Windows 7 > and now wanted to "Rollback" to Vista.

    That does not apply here.

    Regards.

    Hi,

Vista does not come for free and you do not have downgrade rights unless you have Windows 7 Pro.

Microsoft no longer sells Windows 8/8.1.

If you wish to buy Vista or 8.1, try amazon.com.

    Cheers.
