Stabilizing a video: How to Stabilize a video?

I read many posts on the internet to stabilize the videos and I read here in the forums also. Even though I'm following all the steps, there isn't any option to stabilize the video in Windows Movie Maker.

I feel my movie maker is outdated. But since I'm using Windows 10, I think what I am feeling is wrong. Please help.

Regards,

Syed Usman

    Hi Syed,

You can use the Video stabilization option in Windows Movie Maker to stabilize a video.  This feature is available in Windows Essentials 2012 version.

Follow the steps below on how to use the Video stabilization option:

    1. Launch Windows Movie Maker and load the video that you want to stabilize.
    2. Choose which part of the video you want to stabilize.
    3. Video Tools option will appear on the ribbon, click Edit.
    4. Click Video stabilization option, and choose on the options available (Anti-shake, Anti-shake and wobble correction – low or Anti-shake and wobble correction – high).

Let us know how it goes.

Stabilization was added in Windows 8 or later. Make sure you haven't accidentally set your compatibility to Windows 7. If you have, Movie Maker will launch and think it is running on Windows 7 and won't show the stabilization options.
