Unable to update Whatsapp on Nokia Lumia 625 (Windows 8.1)

I tapped on Whatsapp to open it as usual but got the message above. So I clicked on "update Whatsapp" and it took me to the Store however there was no option to update, only "share". I tried turning it off and on again but no change. I deleted my music and some apps to free up storage but still no change. Today I updated to Windows 8.1 and bought another 8GB of storage but I still get the screen above and then this:

"View" and "share" are the only options I have, it knows I have installed Whatsapp. When I updated to 8.1, all apps were updated so I don't understand why my Whatsapp won't work now.

Please help!

WhatsApp support for windows phones, all versions, ended last year. It is no longer in the store.

If you really need it, time to change phones, android or apple.

    Hi.

    Thank you for reaching out.

Please try to uninstall the Whasapp on your phone and then try to reinstall the app at the store.

Let us know how it turns out.

Am also at a loss with what's app. Got the same message about updating. Did the whole off and on routine. Now comes up in store as owned. Then push install and for the last week says pending and cannot uninstall either. Been to phone shops talked to geek squad no one seems to know what to do. Just hope someone else has had this problem and can help
