I cannot turn my wi-fi on!!! I have a Gateway NE56R31u that I inherited from my grandmother. It will not let me connect wirelessly. Also the (fn) F3 keystroke is not turning my wi-fi on. Please help. I have totally cleaned all the info out of the computer twice now (back to factory settings). Very frustrated! Please help. Tons of youtube videos but they're all different and none of them work for me. I did download a driver that would fix this problem but then was asked to pay to install them. Is that my only choice?

I would suggest you to try pressing Fn +F2 on your keyboard to turn ON WIFI Usually works on Gateway laptop.

I'm still unable to turn on Wi-Fi. The F3 and Fn key method did not work. Any other suggestions on how to connect to Wi-Fi? I have the same kind of Gateway computer NE56R31u .
