Restarting the Windows Audio Endpoint Builder Service?

The misery and economic hardship MS has caused me by disabling my 3 computers with incompatible drivers in forced updates! For example:

How do I restart my sound by restarting the Windows Audio Endpoint Builder Service?  According to the Services snap-in, that is why I have no audio. And I really need the narrator because I have poor vision.

I am the Adm, no problem there, but it needs another permission and I do not know what that is.

Regarding the Error 1079, this issue may occur if the service is started by the Local System account instead of by the Local Service account (NT AUTHORITY\LocalService). The Local System account may have insufficient permissions to start the service.

Kindly follow the steps below for the Windows Audio and Windows Audio Endpoint Builder services:

    1. Set the service and any dependent services to run under the NT AUTHORITY\LocalService account.
    2. Click Start, type "Services.msc” in the Search programs and files box, and then press ENTER,
    3. Locate and double click the Windows Audio service.
    4. Click the Log On tab,
    5. In the This account text box, type “NT AUTHORITY\LocalService”,
    6. Set both Password fields blank,
    7. Click Apply and then OK,
    8. Repeat these steps for the Windows Audio Endpoint Builder service.
    9. Restart both services.

Let us know how it goes.

    Hello,

Let us isolate the issue by answering the following:

    1. Did you get any error messages?
    2. Have you done any changes on your PC prior to this concern?
    3. What are the updates done in your PC?

You might want to check if the driver is already installed or updated by checking it on your Devices Managerunder Sounds, video and game controllers.

You might also want to download and run Windows Update Troubleshooter on this link.

    Thanks.

    About

microsoft update usually is pretty good about updates, all pc software (most) must go thru

WHQL at microsoft before its offered to the public:

That has been utter bullpoop since Microsoft's underhanded tactics of trying to disable all previous existing computer hardware and software with its W 10 hijacks. Google led the way with Android phones after it bought Android, then a Linux based, open and fun platform, and slammed the door shut on creative fun for "consumers." And instantly rendered all older versions no longer capable for phone service and raised prices for owning an Android phone by 500%. I have been done with smart phones ever since.

We have 3 computers here that run lots of software for work and need to operate our printers and speakers. Due to all the incompatible drivers, now none of our 3 specialty printers work, and I had my primary computer accidentally wiped of all data and Windows in a reset by MS support chat. An oops for MS, and a $1200 investment for us down the drain. I bought a new replacement only to find out that W 10 could neither run my software nor my printers, and was horribly slow on our rural internet, so I returned it, so add a $200 handling/shipping fee.

Our second computer was also hijacked by W 10 and I can take it no longer online or I will get a black screen as it re-installs the bad new MS driver. $800 rendered mostly useless. Our 3rd fortunately I managed to save from being disabled my W 10. But I should have also disabled all MS updates, because I had to do uninstall some recent updates that disabled some hardware such as my DVD drive and sound card. Plus none of my printers, totaling $1100, function anymore. The nearest Kinko is an hour round trip drive away. Add in lost time at $20/r $10,000, at least for me personally.... Plus I now look like I don't know nothing about keeping things running.

Can I make this W 10 misery inflicted by Microsoft on us, who are just using today's tools to make a living, anymore real?

ps (And not like that anyone here cares)

When I click Sound in Hardware and Device Settings: No Audio Devices are installed, now. But when I click Device Manager, it says my SoundMax Audio driver is enabled and working normally. When I both the W Audio service and W A EPB service in services.msc are set to start automatically but remain stopped. When I restart them I get error 1079 even though its secpol.misc is set to the recommended default settings

We lost our best computer to total reset to factory settings, so risk a reset for my one remaining functional machine?  Like smart phones, if I can no longer get computers to so any useful work for me, I'll just do without. Retire early, and for social life I'll go have a beer and a dance with real people at our local mountain tavern.

All running or not being used can be started/ended by opening cmd, type: services.msc

In msc, scroll to a service, double click on it,set to :auto start" start service, close out msc. Some windows

services need to be added to windows programs (add/remove).

Also, microsoft update usually is pretty good about updates, all pc software (most) must go thru
