  • I've been having problems with my Microsoft X6 keyboard.  The keyboard works fine, but I have broken the spacebar twice while playing online games.  Can I get a new spacebar anywhere?  Is there a website that would have this button?

I also had problems with the paint wearing off the keys. I found a solution that worked for me being that I can not order new keys cause there is no place for me to order them from. I used photoshop and with the paint bucket tool I colored the space with black and then I used a nice clear bold font in white text, but you could use any font you like and I typed each of the letters out that needed to be replaced. Then I printed that paper and cut out each letter. then I applied it to the key and used a clear fingernail polish and applied that on top to hold the letter on the key and this seems to have done the trick cause I only had to do it once and the letter dont seem to be wearing off anymore

    Amen to that. Microsoft sucks.

The more I learn, the more I hate.

Everything they make is made not to satisfy the customer, provide good value or features,

but merely to obligate you to buy their cra.p alone, and repeatedly, because it keeps breaking and you cant even fix it.

    <removed> microsoft.

I've bought 5 keyboards in three years now,

and even paying 100 dollars for a name brand, like MS, did NOT get me QUALITY

again:  <removed>microsoft.  there are other choices, there is even Linux which they dont own (yet)  *grimace*

    Hi jehjeh3711,

Unfortunately, you won’t get the replacement spacebar for the keyboard.

You can contact your local retail for more information

I have a Microsoft Sidewinder keyboard that I love, but I also need to replace several keys on the board. Most of the letters have chipped away  as well as a large space on the space bar (long nails can do that). Seeing as the keys arepainted black so that the letters can be back-lit, the glowing circles where the letters should be is unsightly and confusing if you don't know what letters are where (other people use my computer, as well, and not all know how to type without looking at the keys).

Are you saying that there are no replacement keys to be purchased for this keyboard and that my only option is to live with it or buy a new one? That's hardly what I would call customer support or satisfaction.
