The default themes are stored in "C:\Windows\resources\Themes". The other .themepack files, the moment you run then, they're extracted and stored in this location:

%localappdata%\Microsoft\Windows\Themes

The theme are actually stored here, when downloaded directly from Microsoft: <username> being the name of the account on your PC, if you have a log on.

C;\Users<username>\AppData\Local\Microsoft\Windows\Themes

You can store other themes here; C:\Windows\Web\Wallpaper

Place each image or images of the same theme in a folder (ie. Snow images in a folder named "Winter" or Holiday images in a folder named "Holidays")

Theme Packs (.themepack files) are typically installed in two (2) locations.

[Note:] To view the directory of Theme Packs installed by Users, you must configure Windows to "Show Hidden Files"

Show Hidden Files

https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/help/14201/windows-show-hidden-files

[Windows 7]

[Note:]

• I expect that this will be similar for Windows 8.0, 8.1 and 10 but some folders for Windows 10 my be set as Read Only; however, you should be able to copy to them.
• Be careful attempting to use "Change Ownership" of files and folders.

User installed Theme Packs**:**

C:\Users*UserAcct*\AppData\Local\Microsoft\Windows\Themes

[Where UserAcct is the name of the current user that is logged into Windows.]

Theme Packs for All Users**:**

To make Theme Packs available for All Users, store Theme Packs Here:

C:\Windows\Resources\Themes

Thanks. The file extensions do not show but when I double clicked them, they installed properly.
