On a standard U.S. keyboard, the bracket keys are immediately to the right of the P key:
Lower case gives left and right square brackets. Upper case gives left and right curly braces.
If you have a non-U.S. keyboard or a non-standard keyboard, they may be in a different location or they may be missing altogether.
You'll need to be a bit clearer in your request.
You obviously typed the "square brackets" (see https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bracket) in your question, so under what circumstances are you not able to type them?
