I do a lot of research so i am back and forth on the computer. I hate having to sign in every time. A longer period in between time would help me out.

Right click on the Desktop | Personalize | Screen Saver. Adjust the wait time.

Screen saver is different to an open web page or word document.  I want my "ACTIVE" screen to remain on longer. Does anyone know how to fix computer so active screen stays on long than a few seconds which is very aggravating when you are working on something and need to keep current PC screen open.

    On Windows 10.

    Right click main screen.

    Click on "Display Settings"

Scroll down to "Power & Sleep"

    Adjust settings to suit.

You control the screensaver if this is your computer.  Change the amount of time before it locks the computer.

If you don't control the screensaver - talk to your system administrator (who may just point you to policies stating how long that should be.)
