Lumia 950 Dual sim - 2nd sim not working

Hey all,

I have Lumia 950 Dual Sim, just bought a second sim (the cell network as the first one).

As I put them two, only one is working. I can choose which one by disabling the second, but I cannot manage to make them work together.

I keep getting one of them saying "No network found".

Tried to change the sim cards slots - still not working.

How can I solve this?

Thanx

I had the same issue and the second Sim would only show up as 2G.  I turned off SIM 1which enabled SIM 2, I then renabled SIM 1 and then enabled Data on SIM 2 (not an option until you do the above.  Both SIMs then became active on their proper network settings.  As an additional step I then went into Settings > Extras > Smart SIMs and choose Both Ways, which then prompted for which SIM number belonged to and they both appear to be working fine and will forward to the other if one drops (as long as you setup Smart SIM with proper forwarding numbers.

The secondary SIM in all dual-SIM Lumia phones is limited to 2G, due to hardware restrictions.

Either SIM 1 or 2 can be set up as secondary, but at least one of the mobile operators must support 2G on their network, for the phone to work as expected.

    Hi,

I too faced same issue and tried lots of option including hard/soft reset, windows recovery tool, even bought new sim card, but nothing worked. This continued for three months. All of a sudden, I got an idea and tried to add a new APN settings for internet & MMS, Like magic, the issue gone away. So the issue is not with hardware or software, it's in the APN setting of your mobile operator. FYI, I use TPO service, I went into their website and added APN (Previously I tried the APN settings, but it didn't worked and finally found I was using the APN of different country of the same operator). Hope it may work for you too.

    Thanks for the feedback!

If you are on the AT&T network then please chime in here ...

(Smart dual-SIM options vary by mobile operator, unless I'm mistaken?)

    Best regards,

    Hans
