My hard drive died, so I replaced it and restored it with my recovery disks and drivers. (windows XP) Was told to use that and then upgrade.) Can't upgrade as I cannot get online. The wireless is working, but get the error message. (called ISP and it was not their issue.  Contacted MS (but hung up after 20 minutes on hold) I have looked online and tried the many many suggestions, and none of them seem to fix the issue.  Should I start over? Am surprised at the number of solutions to this error online and yet, none of them seem to fix the issue. I have turned the firewall off, etc. It seems like there should be a fix and that it should not be that hard, but I am unable to figure it out. Thanks in advance if anyone has any good ideas that I can try.

Thanks,
