Converting audio files

How do I convert audio files from wma to mp3 on the Windows 7 media player?  I've looked everywhere in the media player and there is no window that will allow it.  Version 11 had a way to convert them.

Hello 2cooks,

Unfortunately, you need to use use any third part converter to convert .WMA files to .MP3 files.

Please use your favorite search engine to search for the convertor.

For your information:

I wasted most of this evening trying to get 1 file from the archaic WMA format into a more useful WAV format. I could have saved time by just finding the album in my stacks and calling it up in iTunes. That program will take almost any format EXCEPT something from Windows. I don't like iTunes that much, but I like it a whole lot better after wasting this entire evening on poorly coded, antiquated software.

Bill Gates, you'd better get someone in your company that CARES about the people who use the garbage your crew is putting out or your $billions won't buy you coffee at Starbucks. Microsoft lost its edge; it's so dull it wouldn't cut warm butter. It's going to be eaten alive by the programmers in India and Korea or bought out by the Chinese millionaires.
