To help solve these problems, you can adjust Windows Media Player 11's playback speed.
From the keyboard:
Fast playback speed: Ctrl + Shift + G
Normal playback speed: Ctrl + Shift + N
Slow playback speed: Ctrl + Shift + S
When in Skin Mode
In Full Mode, you can make further adjustments to the playback speed.
to open a pop-up menu, or press the Alt key.
Hope this helps.

Hoping this gets picked up as it's obviously been a problem longterm and really lets users down.
I want to burn a couple of clips from video on my computer to CD. The lowest speed settings on Media Player are 16X which is still too fast for them to play back at the speed they should be at, and it particularly affects speech. It takes for ever to upload these to YouTube where they play perfectly, so I imagine these faster speeds are just not suitable. How can I modify the default options on Media Player to get at least half that speed?
