MS Office cannot verify the license for this product since the feature update 2004 installed

After the feature update 2004 installed, users on the computer were not able open any MS Office 365 applications, error message is "MS Office cannot verify the license for this product, you should repair Office program by using control panel"

we did the office repair, and ran the MS Troubleshooter which shows the Office is already activated and saying it's fixed, but we are still unable to open any Office applications.

we tried to uninstall and reinstall Office 365 then the error when open Word is "Sorry, we ran into problem when install the product key, you should try to repair your office product"
