Intel Imaging Signal Processor 2400 does not work on my Asus T100TA OS = Win10

Despite uninstalling and re-installing the driver and trying the driver out for windows 8.1 I cannot for the life of me get the webcam to work.  The light comes on but all that happens is that I get a blank (black) screen whenever I try to use the camera in any app.  I am not a developer and am less than novice at best when it comes to tablets in fact this is the first one I've ever owned.  Can someone let me know how to solve this problem?

When I go into device manager, Intel Imaging Signal Processor 2400, properties:

General = device is working properly (this is obviously a lie)

**Driver version =**603.9600.1948.25969

Events (the ones I do not understand) = Driver Management has concluded the process to add Service camera for Device Instance ID DISPLAY\INT0F38\4&3A2380F&0&UID134968 with the following status: 0.

Driver Management concluded the process to install driver camera.inf_x86_83847b702b69a7ba\camera.inf for Device Instance ID DISPLAY\INT0F38\4&3A2380F&0&UID134968 with the following status: 0x0.

What else do I need to do?

I did solve my problem: I uninstalled the newly updated driver and reinstalled the old one already present in my tablet.

If you search around (I cannot recover the info at the moment) there are several forums that report the latest stable driver version.

I'm no expert, but I guess if you didn't fiddle much, after you uninstall the driver, and find the device on device manager, you can choose to install the driver, and choose to manually select a location from your device: and the location will be automatically set where your drivers are (as it happened to me).

I also solved the problem with the camera on my Asus T100TA.

For some reason, the Window Updates (including the recent 15014 build) over-writes the driver for the camera.  How I fixed it was by downloading the Intel SOCPackage Intel_BayT_T100TA_Win81-32-VER112.zip driver package, and running it.

Once you start running the package, you may get a message that states the drivers about to be installed are either the same or earlier that what is installed, and ask if you want to continue.  If you want your camera back, say "Yes" (or you can select the individual "Camera" driver from the Drivers folder on the zip file).

Once it's finished, reboot.  Your camera should be working again.

Here is the download site I used:

    http://www.allinonedriver.com/asus-transformer-book-t100-drivers-download/

Scroll down to the Driver Download section, and select the "Chipset Drivers".  These may not be the most update drivers, but they will get the camera working again.

If there is someone who knows how to get a more current set of drivers, please let us know.

    Thank you!

I solved this problem, using the same method, for my ASUS T200 when I first upgraded to windows 10. And the only thing I did after getting the camera working, was to install the new version of the Intel SOCPackage. Curiously, the camera still worked after that. If it didn't, I would try to reverse only the camera drivers in order to keep the other drivers updated.

Regarding how to get the old drivers, when at the ASUS website, I selected Windows 8.1 as my system and downloaded the Intel SOCPackage that way. Meanwhile, for the most recent drivers, I changed the system selection to Windows 10. (I personally prefer the direct source of the drivers.)

Don't know if this will work for you as well though.

    Hi,

I got the same problem with my T100 on Win10

I had driver version 14.49.0.34. that is the only thing that is not as yours. All other info is the same

    I fixed it.

    Try to follow these steps:

Device manager - Intel Imaging Signal Processor 2400 - Properties - Driver - Update - Browse my computer for driver software - Let me pick from a list of device drivers on my computer.

In my case there were 2 drivers to choose - the one that is already installed and another one ( 603.9600.1948.31252 [11/28/2013]). I chose the last one, installed it and after restart my camera is working properly.

    Hope it helps you too.

I too am having this problem.   Unfortunately, I don't have an older copy 0f the driver to load.

Any suggestions on how to find the driver?  Asus  only provides a complete package of drivers (ATKACPI driver and hotkey-related utilities) dated 10/19/2015. Not just the camera drivers.

Thank you for any assistance you can provide.
