Hello,

I have an Acer Aspire V3-574G laptop with 4GB DDR3L RAM, Intel Core i3-5005U processor, 1TB HDD and NVIDIA GeForce 940M 2GB GPU, running Windows 10 64-bit Version 1703 Build 15063.13 (Creators Update). I tried to run GTA San Andreas on the laptop, but it gives the following error-- "Grand Theft Auto SA cannot find audio card installed" (attached screenshot). The sound driver in my laptop is the Realtek High Definition Audio driver. What should I do? Please help!! That game is very important to me!!!

    Hello Jomari,

I am getting the audio card error only in GTA San Andreas. I have two other games in the laptop, Need For Speed Most Wanted 2005 Black Edition and Need For Speed Most Wanted 2012. Both run fine with audio.

I tried downloading the driver from the Manufacturer website and installing it (in a way, reinstalling the driver), yet nothing happened. Only GTA San Andreas is showing the above error.

    Hi Jomari,

Actually before this GTA San Andreas issue came up, I was really eager to install the Creators' update on my PC. I liked it, and I still do, especially the new updates to the Edge browser, and the new Game Mode.

However, I tried re-installing the audio driver yet again, and re-installed the game too. Yet it is still not running, and I am not able to get developer support either. I tried posting my issue on Rockstar Forums, but nobody has answered my question.

I beg you to please help me run this game on my PC. I never ever had any issues on it before this. It runs really well on other PCs, including my cousin's desktop.

The name of the audio card, as found out in System Information, Device Manager and dxdiag run command sound tab, is "Realtek High Definition Audio".

Have you attempted any troubleshooting steps yet?

    Hi Jomari,

I tried returning to the previous anniversary build Version 1607 Build 14393, but still no positive happenings so far, so I'm again downloading and going to the Creators' Update Build.
