This answer is too generic.  I have multiple computers that have all failed multiple times on that update.  Why are we forced to go thru a generic set of steps for a specific and widely applicable problem?

    Hi Bikramjit,

Windows Update temporary files sometimes interfere with new attempts and updates. You can try deleting Windows Update files stored inside C:\Windows\SoftwareDistribution\Download folder and reattempt downloading the update from the scratch via Windows Update.

If the issue persists, you can run the Windows Update troubleshooter on this link.

Get back to us if you need further assistance.
