After updates from windows were installed I got a message that said my color scheme has been changed to windows basic because of this program. I don't know what it is and if I should uninstall it. If I should uninstall it can anyone tell me how to do it.

Apple no longer supports Quicktime.  It is a risky thing to have it installed at all.  Please uninstall it.

    1. Start globe (bottom left)
    2. Control Panel
    3. Uninstall a program
    4. Find Quicktime, click on it, then click uninstall.

QTTask.exe is the name of Apple's QuickTime Tray Icon, which enables you to start Quick Time from the System Tray, as well as to perform related functions.

Of course, malware can disguise itself by using any name, so the first thing to do is make sure that your system is malware-free.

I suggest doing a free online scan with the ESET online scanner:  https://www.eset.com/us/home/online-scanner/

You might follow that up by installing, updating, and running a scan with MalwareBytes AntiMalware.  This converts to a free on-demand scanner after a 14-day free trial of the complete full-time malware protection program.  You can, if you like, uninstall it at any time after you do the initial scan.  https://www.malwarebytes.com/

Apple no longer supports QuickTime and unless you know that you have a specific reason to keep it, I suggest that you uninstall it.  Click the Start Orb, type Programs and Features, and press Enter.  Find QuickTime (which may be listed as Apple Quick Time), select it, and click the "Uninstall" button.

This should uninstall QTTask.exe along with all the rest of the QuickTime files.  See the last paragraph ("Additional Information") of Apple's support page on this topic:  https://support.apple.com/en-us/HT201175
