- I first started having this problem over a year ago, it just never bothered me much until now.
- I've tried to fix it in various ways according to the internet but I haven't had any success.
- I am not sure entirely what I've done.
I am connected to the internet, but my computer says I'm not
Hello, I have had this problem for probably over a year now. It has never really bothered me, but recently I've been trying to see what is wrong and I feel like I've done almost everything I've read on the internet. I am posting this with the computer that says I'm not connected. I really haven't found a definitive answer and most of the posts I've found on the topic are years old. The test is a VPN and this problem has happened way before I tried a VPN so I don't believe that would be the issue.
The only reason this bothers me is because I have a weather app on the side of my screen and it says it can't connect to the service, and spotify says that it's not connected.
Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!

2017-05-24T13:59:01+00:00 That usually means that your computer has been able to contact your wireless router, but your wireless router is not providing an IP address to your computer. That usually results from the wrong security code being supplied by your computer to the router.
- Click on Open Network Sharing Center
- Find Manage networks
- Delete them all
- Now try connecting with your network again
- That will require you to enter the correct security code (Wireless password)
- If you do not enter the correct code, you cannot be connected.
- If that happens, you need to get some help re-configuring your router in order to establish a new password (or the one you think it is (but it is not))
- You may be able to reconfigure the router yourself.
