Dear Nokia. I don't actually have Idea how to reach through web.. I have this issue with which I bought Yesterday (Nokia 206); I can't use my Internet mobile. How does it happened? It says everytime I opened the browser: "Error establishing secure connection. Check coverage, security and date settings on the phone. (005)"/ "Temporarily not available (link)., and the like.." Is it something to do with the software updates? I'm from Philippines. Any solutions/remedies to solve this issue(s). Hoping for your urgent response.. Best Regards,

    Olá! Eu desenvolvi um caminho para atualizar o Xpress Browser para o Opera Mini!

    Testado no:

    Nokia Asha 501 Dual Sim (501.2) / RM-951

    Nokia Asha software plataforma 1.4

    V. 14.0.5

    Eu não testei, mas acho que este método serve para atualizar o Xpress Browser para o Opera Mini em qualquer Nokia Asha.

    Todos os passos que eu segui:

    No Computador:

    1. Abra o Bloco de Notas em seu computador e cole isto:

    <html>

    <title>Opera Mini 8 (Xpress Browser)</title>

    <body>

    <p><strong>Opera Mini 8 (Xpress Browser)</strong></p>

    <p><a title="mini.jad" href="mini.jad">mini.jad</a></p>

    <p><a title="mini.jar" href="mini.jar">mini.jar</a></p>

    <p> </p>

    <p><strong>Online Installer!</strong></p>

    <p><a title="Opera for Mobile Devices" href="http://m.opera.com/nokia/">Opera for Mobile Devices</a></p>

    <p><a title="Opera Mini direc link (tag=5)" href="http://m.opera.com/nokia/mini.jad?tag=5">Opera Mini direc link (tag=5)</a></p>

    <p><a title="Opera Mini direc link (tag=mini5)" href="http://m.opera.com/nokia/mini.jad?act=dl&cert=all&rnd=1614307773&nowurfl_redir=1&vid=0x0b0292570131f106&tag=mini5&region=all">Opera Mini direc link (tag=mini5)</a></p>

    <p> </p>

    <p> </p>

    </body>

    </html>

    1. Clique em "Salvar" -> Nome de sua preferência (Eu coloquei "Opera Mini 8 (Xpress Browser)") -> Tipo: Todos os arquivos -> Coloque no final do nome ".html" (sem as aspas".
    2. Transfira o arquivo para o seu Nokia Asha e salve no cartão de memória em alguma pasta de sua escolha (eu salvei em "Downloads").

    No seu Nokia Asha:

    1. Abra o arquivo ".html" na pasta em que você salvou. O Xpress Browser abrirá. (no Nokia Asha 311, por exemplo, o navegador padrão abrirá).
    2. Em "Online Installer!" clique em "Opera for Mobile Devices" (primeira opção).

    O endereço "http://m.opera.com/nokia/" abrirá normalmente, sem exibir a mensagem "Criando uma conexão segura".

    1. Na página de download do Opera Mini, clique em "Baixar Opera Mini 8".

    O download iniciará normalmente. Quando a mensagem insformando a atualização aparecer, aceite e pronto! O Xpress Browser será atualizado para o Opera Mini!

    Eu realmente espero estar ajudando muitas pessoas com este mesmo problema para atualizar o Xpress Browser! Abraços!

    Marc, Microsoft Mobile does not leverage their Microsoft Answers for individual support queries. Why ever. However, because of that, I have to re-test your scenario myself and test whether the proxy server of Nokia Xpress is still working today. Because I am just an end-user like you, this takes time. Nobody of Microsoft Mobile is going to help us here. Therefore, what exactly do you want to do:

    A) go for an Internet webpage,

    B) install the Opera Mobile Store to get an app, or

    C) access your E-mail?

    Stevy, when you tap on Internet, do you see the splash screen of Opera Mini or the splash screen of Nokia Xpress Browser (blue globe)? Because you state you face the same problems, I guess you are about the same error message ‘Error Establishing Secure Connection’. Therefore, I guess, you are still on Nokia Xpress Browser, correct?

    Shaizzati, it would make more sense to answer my questions (why did you get aware of that, while installing a game, accessing a web-page, opening an app, …). Anyway, to answer your question, please, continue there… in your case with a Nokia 206, you have to search the Internet how to create a USB cable. That way, you can then use/apply the Recovery Tool.
