how to open pdf files on windows 7

I upgrade to win 7 since then I can not open pdf files.  I already check for solution but nothing works.  Please 

I need help on this

    The  pdf format is a third-party format, so Windows has no ability to open it. You need to install a third-party program to do so.

    The standard such program, which most people use, is the free, downloable Adobe Reader.  However instead I recommend that you download and install the free Foxit Reader at http://www.foxitsoftware.com/Secure_PDF_Reader/ . It's much better and much faster.

    You need to install a PDF reading program. The most common on is Adobe Reader which is available as a free download from:

    http://get.adobe.com/uk/reader/ .

    (NOTE: If you don't want the optional Google Toolbar untick it when it is offered)

    If this isn't your problem, please explain more fully what is happening and give any error messages in full.

    Seems to have lost ability to make PDF copies of material for publishing.
