Windows 10, Says I'm not the Administrator of my own computer any more.

I just rebooted my computer and now it says I'm not the Administrator and won't let me save a file.  I says I can save them to Documents but when I go to find it nothing is there.  It was working fine before I rebooted.  I am running Windows 10 and this computer was bought in Dec 2016 and I am the only user.  When I go into my account it shows me as Administrator.

    Hi Elissa,

Thank you for the update. You may check this article on how to disable OneDrive on your computer. Regarding your "not the Administrator" issue, we suggest that you enable the built-in administrator account on Windows 10 by running a command in an elevated command prompt. In order to do so, kindly follow these steps:

    1. Open Command Prompt and select Run as administrator.
    2. Accept the User Account Control prompt.
    3. Enter this command to enable the hidden administrator account: net user administrator /active:yes

We would appreciate an update about how it went.

I tried what you suggested ..... this is what I got "You must be an administrator running a console session in order to use the sfc utility."

When I call up my account info it CLEARLY says that I am the Administrator.   I think it may be something to do with One Drive, but I'm not sure if I should disable One Drive (I don't really want to use it anyway), and I don't even know HOW to disable it.

I noticed Microsoft support staff have ducked out of this one just like they duck out of many situations where they can't blame it on your Anti-Virus or other 3rd party software.

Having this same issue in Nov 2018. No help to speak of. About to start watching some Linux videos and start embracing an OS that allows you to have control of the computer that paid for.

I got exactly the same issue that my account is not an Admin anymore stripped me off all access even cant open settings anymore. I tried the solution to steup a new user with Admin rights but as soon as I installed oneDrive the same thing happend.

With the above solution on Command Prompt you get "Error 5 access denied".

This is going on for months now all updates etc didnt help. Any other suggestions?

I have the same problem.  brand new laptop last year, set up as me as admin, yet get blocked from basic ****!  Frustrating as hell and half the recommended fixes don't fix the actual problem.  What a stupid thing to do, windows!
