There is no printed User Manual for any Microsoft keyboard or mouse.

You have to install the software.

Go here and download "Mouse and Keyboard Center 3.1" --> https://www.microsoft.com/accessories/en-us/products/keyboards/wireless-comfort-desktop-5050/pp4-00001#techspecs-connect

    Or here:  https://www.microsoft.com/accessories/en-us/downloads/mouse-keyboard-center#

After you do that, an on-line help library will be available:

Mouse and Keyboard Center helps you personalize and customize how you work on your PC

    • Tailor your mouse and keyboard to meet your unique needs and work style.
    • Modify your mouse and keyboard settings to make it easier to use the unique features of most PC apps.

Effortlessly transition to Mouse and Keyboard Center from existing device management apps

    • Launch the app from the Windows Start.
    • View and change basic and application-specific settings for all connected devices in one place.
    • Explore features with pop-up descriptive and “how-to” InfoTips.
    • Includes access to an online How-To/Troubleshooting library.
    • Includes access to an online Healthy Computing Guide for tips on how to work more comfortably on your computer

Like others who bought this 5000 series keyboard, I am baffled how to use the many additional functions of it and the mouse. Why isn't there a guide to fully utilize the many cool additional keys present. Some are obvious such as Email or print, while others such as the silver top keys numbered 1 - 5 do what?

It was clear to me what the user asked above, but to respond with "How-to: Keyboards" entirely misses the nature of the question. In fact, I too have yet to find a straight answer to the repeated requests for a decent user manual covering the functionality of the keyboard.

I appreciate your assistance to this question.

    Sincerely,

    R. Ernst

    Hello Anatolly,

Connectivity between your wireless keyboard and your Windows 7 PC depends on your Bluetooth transceiver. We suggest that you check this article out for instructions on how to connect your keyboard to your computer: How-to: Keyboards.

Let us know if you will need further assistance.
