Put the music in the Music folder at the root of your User folder. Click CTRL+O while in Windows Media Player and navigate to the songs, highlight them all, and click OK. Also, Spotify has ads, but it is free and you get to choose which songs you want to play, unlike Pandora. You can optionally download the songs offline and get rid of ads for a small monthly fee. Hope this helps

2017-10-06T15:49:22+00:00 Hi - I shouldn't worry too much about WMP - it is being substantially run down and you may be better off installing a different player and getting to know that. I still use WMP for managing my library (for now at least) but my main player is iTunes for Wndows which is a much better all-round program. Media Monkey seems to be a popular alternative.
When you say 'free' - if you are referring to free music - downloading content illegally must be avoided because often you will be putting your pc at risk by installing such software (as well as breaking the law) - If you are simply looking for a free app to access music there are plenty to choose from. I use Spotify which you can have free - but with adverts (and no download facility and at a lower quality) or premium which allows downloading for offline use on authorized devices (but not copying). This costs around the price of a regular CD per month... there is a mid-price version which gets rid of the adverts but no other 'extras'
I'll guide you further on this if you wish - update if so... Cheers, Ric.
